Glenn P.

Our limelight this month is on Glenn P.  His quote is: "I am happy when I come to program every day!"
Glenn is elated to be a part of the Light of Hope Program where there are opportunities to engage in his favorites: Bowling and Basketball!  He is also looking forward to swimming with his friends and showing off his drawing and dancing skills.

He feels that the Light of Hope staff care about him, and that he really likes his Support Guide, Nicky.  He has a picture of the two of them on his cell phone as a screensaver.

Glenn, welcome to Light of Hope, where we know you will shine!

WHAT'S NEW

Reading classes will be introduced and implemented in September.  We look forward to assisting Light of Hope Participants in building their vocabulary and reading skills!

WHAT'S HAPPENED

Last week, Light of Hope participants experienced their first recording at Agoura Borealis Recording Studio! They served as backup singers for the single "I Like The Sun."  Some of the participants were also creative in presenting ideas for some of the song's lyrics!  Guest Artist and Producer on this song is Larry Antonino, bass player for pop/rock band, Pablo Cruise.

INSPIRATIONAL COLUMN

Who's to say I can't when my diverse ability speaks to one's core foundation that triggers judgement that the mind didn't know was there!  However, celebrate because eyes are now open to see the light that will hopefully lead us to positive changes, changes that will enable us to look at one another as equals, changes that will inspire kindness and re-evaluate purpose and intentions, intentions that will promote empowerment; this is what my diverse ability CAN do!
