Scott & Kimberly Naslund

We, Kimberly K. Naslund/Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Scott R. Naslund/Founder and Chief Financial Officer, started The Naslund and Naslund Foundation to be of service to others, as it has always been a passion of ours to give, build, and restore.  Between both of us, we have 34 years of experience working with Adults with Special Needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Delayed Intellect.  We have been vocational trainers and managed programs that support Adults with Special Needs, and have received much joy and fulfillment through our works.  We have also donated and volunteered our time and services to feeding the homeless and hungry through

our Christian-Based Church and other sources in the community, but we felt compelled to offer more.  This world is vast and many people around us are underserved in a variety of ways, and we have made a commitment to be one more source for our community to turn to in time of need.

The first entity under The Naslund and Naslund Foundation is "Light of Hope," a community-based day program that services adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  This program is the heart of why we started our foundation, and we look forward to being that Light of Hope for many individuals we cross paths with.

Our Philosophy
"Success seems to be connected with action.
Successful people keep moving.  They make
mistakes, but they don't quit."
                                       Conrad Hilton

We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to achieve, to dream, to be respected and
valued; but first, one must take action.  Society often dictates that in order to be successful, we must present ourselves a certain way, have a high grade point average, and surround ourselves with successful people.  And although this may be true in some instances, there is another way.  It is called Empowerment!  In this world we live in, all of us have a place and purpose.  With lending and helping hands, we are taking action to strengthen and impart knowledge, which builds confidence, enabling individuals to voice their opinions and exercise their rights, which we all deserve.  We vow to take that action!
